"When we purchased Destiny we knew that a boom was coming in the industry and that others in our market would not be able to compete without equal technology. Gateway needed the flexibility for customization, and everything had to be integrated in one system from our pipeline to secondary marketing. INTEGRA gave us that...and more."

Frequently Asked Questions
INTEGRA Software Development FAQ's
Q: How do we customize Destiny?
A: There are two terms we like to use at INTEGRA; Configure and Customize. With training just about anyone can configure the system to meet your needs. This includes system setups, workflows, loan programs, simple screens, reports, etc. To customize the system, you will need either a programmer or a technical person. INTEGRA provides the tools and the training.
A: We have a unique design methodology that allows our programmers or yours to extend the application without affecting future upgrade paths.
Q: Are there any charges from INTEGRA for blank screens and screen controls if we decide to customize Destiny?
A: No; the only thing you pay us for is the training and support that we may offer. You can create as much custom code as you like without any unnecessary add-on costs from INTEGRA.
Q: Iíve heard that software companies charge extra each time a new upgrade comes out to keep my custom code in compliance. How does INTEGRA deal with this?
A: If we did the custom programming, we will keep the code in compliance if things change at no additional cost.
A: Scheme is a programming language that is a subset of the more popular language, LISP. It is a very easy language to integrate with Destiny. Not only that, but the syntax of the language itself is very easy to learn. We found that anyone with any programming experience could learn the language quickly and be able to customize Destiny in a very short amount of time.
A: Yes. Generally, we have a 5-day training class that instructs people not only in the programming language, but also how to use it to develop documents, tasks, formulas and business rules. We also follow up with an on-site client visit to help clients refine their custom code.
A: Many of our clients don’t have programmers and it certainly isn’t a requirement for purchasing our software. INTEGRA offers a wide variety of development services to help meet clients’ individual needs. We can develop custom documents, tasks, interfaces and business rules expeditiously and if need be, we can also develop fully functional stand-alone applications that will integrate with Destiny.
A: Not really. We have found that our developers can generally develop custom projects three or four times faster than client programmers because of their experience and access to various development resources in-house. As a result, the cost is usually much less than hiring an employee to develop the same custom code.
A: Yes. When a client has a larger project, or if they want to buy a block of hours for multiple projects, we will generally discount our rate based on the quantity of hours desired.
A: INTEGRA provides a full range of Software Development Services. A particularly valuable service is Code Design for clients who want help designing their custom projects. This ensures that the programmer will be developing a project with maximum efficiency in mind. Once the project is complete, INTEGRA can provide a Code Review service to ensure the code is efficient, bug free, and free from memory leaks. Throughout the development process, our support staff and developers can help answer questions about programming issues and help the programmer with any problems they encounter.
